Grupo Albanesi, an Argentinean electricity generation company and the country’s main natural gas trader, informed that the risk rating agency FIX has upgraded the Group’s financial rating.
Thus, the rating agency FIX upgraded the following companies of the Group to Category A (arg): Generación Mediterránea, Central Térmica Roca and Albanesi Energía.
Armando Losón (h.), Head of Grupo Albanesi, pointed out that “this is a very good sign for the company and an important step to continue advancing with the investment plan that we have drawn up and that will allow Argentina to increase its supply of sustainable electricity at a competitive cost”.
He added. “We are an argentinean company that invests in the country and always looks to the long term. Energy is a key factor in the growth of the economy”.
Grupo Albanesi continues to position itself among the country’s leading generators, supplying energy to more than 3 million homes with an installed capacity of 1,380 MW.
The following projects were also upgraded to Category A+ (arg) from A (arg): Cycle closure at Ezeiza Thermal Power Plant in the province of Buenos Aires, of the company Generación Mediterránea; cycle closure at Maranzana Thermal Power Plant in the city of Rio Cuarto, province of Córdoba also of the company Generación Mediterránea, and Cogeneration Project in Arroyo Seco in the province of Santa Fe of the company Generación Litoral.
Albanesi is a privately owned Argentinean business group founded in 1929, with 90 years in the local market. Its main activities are electricity generation and natnural gas supply. It is the main natural gas trader in Argentina. It has an installed capacity of more than 1380 MW through its 9 power plants located in the provinces of Tucumán, Santiago del Estero, Córdoba, Santa Fe, La Rioja, Buenos Aires and Rio Negro.
